About Cirtificate In Computing (CIC)
  Admission Process
 
Presenting an information centred worldview and an exposure to skill that will be required to cope with the computer system that will be or are being already used in the work place. A few high level concept will form part of the student's worldview, and upon completing this programme, the student would have learnt the appropriate vocabluary of the information age.

There is an integral component of exposure to practical work. Word Processing and mailmerge, DTP, spreadsheets, database on PCs are some of the areas of hand-on experience. Such skills training provide concrete examples to illustrate the conceptual portions of the theroretical/narrative courses. This would result in the preparation to use I.T. tools for further study or for work. Upon completing the programme, the students would have had a definite falvour of the workplace or learning centre of the future, which will comprise interactions (via computers) with colleagues in other organisation and nations, not just-those in the same floor, building or town.
       
  Duration of the Programme
 
The nominal duration of the programme is six months. However, a learner may be permitted to stretch it over a period of two years, if the learners circumstances demand a longer duration.

Tor fulfil the requirements for acquiring the CIC, a student may clear all the courses in six months. If a students fails to clear all the courses in six months, the student will permitted a maximum period of two years to clear the programme.

The facilities for counselling and Practicals, will, however, not automatically be extended after First semester of study. Practical sessions in subsequent semesters are the discretion of the University and subject to payment for the same.
       
  Registration
 
The programme fee, inclusive of examination fees is Rs. 3000/- and is to be paid in lump sum at the time of registration in the programme.
